This SOP was quite a surprise to all of us, mostly due to the unexpected weather. Me, Andre Tan, Pio Hilario, Ryann Ng, and Jeffrey Tan traversed the heavy rains and floods in one car on our journey to the Ephpheta community in Antipolo city. It was a hard trip, but we were able to make it to our location on this this week. While it may be a good thing that we were able to get there in the harsh weather, we were disheartened to find out that the SOP meeting that week was cancelled as soon as we got there. It was sad to figure out we went all the way to our destination and not get to spend time with our families. At least we were able to give them the food we had brought, ensuring they had a warm meal in the damp rain. Hopefully next week’s meeting will not be interrupted by more rain because I really want to make the most out of SOP this year.
